Financial Freedom Expo

What is a Financial Freedom Expo?

The Financial Freedom Expo is a free two-hour no-obligation class that will introduce you to the stock market, how it works and how you can use it to potentially change your life. You'll be introduced to several of the BetterTrades trading strategies designed to make money in the stock market. In addition to learning the potential benefits of trading stocks and options, you will learn details of trading puts and calls. The purpose of this event is to demonstrate how it’s possible to use the stock market to fulfill your financial needs, whether that means paying the bills each month or enhancing your retirement account. It's all about learning to take control your own financial destiny.

How to find one?

To find a Financial Freedom Expo, go to the BetterTrades.com home page and look for the big yellow window on the right side of the home page. Enter your ZIP code and you'll get an instant answer. If you do not see a list of cities, call Customer Service at 1-800-676-4410.

When will you be coming to my area?

Registration

How do I register for a Financial Freedom Expo?

To register for a Financial Freedom Expo, visit http://www.BetterTrades.com and enter your ZIP code in the yellow box on the right side of the homepage. You'll be taken to a page that lists the dates, times and locations of the next event in your area. Click the green button that says "Register me for the chosen Expo" and you're good to go. If you have questions call Customer Service at 1-800-676-4410.

Can I bring friends or family with me to a Financial Freedom Expo?

Absolutely! Bring a couple of friends or family members to the presentation. They will probably thank you. We would like everyone to register in advance, so can plan for the right number of people. Because of the nature of the program, we don't recommend you bring children younger than 13. No childcare is provided at the program.

Can I attend if I don’t have my registration ticket?

Don't worry if you left your registration ticket at home or work, or even misplaced it. Once you register online we've got your space reserved and look forward to seeing you.

How do I change the registration time and date?

It would be ideal if you could notify Customer Service at 1-800-676-4410 so they can change your registration. This will help us ensure there are enough seats. If you don't have time to make the change, go ahead and attend. We'll take your registration information at the door and make sure you get a good seat.

How do I register for a BetterTrades account?

To become a registered user simply go to BetterTrades.com and set up a free account. It's a simple procedure and takes just a few minutes to complete.

What are the benefits of registering with BetterTrades?

Users who register with BetterTrades have instant availability to free newsletters and free classes taught by our trading education coaches. Additionally, you can register for other educational material designed to improve your trading success. DVDs, premium online and on-location classes are available as well.

I have not received my confirmation email. What can I do?

First, check to see that your email did not end up in your spam folder. The best way to avoid this from happening is to add the support@bettertrades.com address to your email address book. Now log in on the top of the home page. Click “forgot password.” Enter the email address you used at registration. You should receive an email with your log in information. Once you have your password, go to My Accounts and click on the Financial Freedom Expo tab. This should display the expo you registered to attend. It will also provide you with driving directions and an e-ticket that you can print out and take with you to the event. Or, as always, simply call Customer Service at 1-800-676-4410.

What time should I arrive at the Expo?

It’s always best to arrive at least 30 minutes prior to the start time of your scheduled event.

Who will be my instructor?

The instructor for the Financial Freedom Expo varies from event to event. Our BetterTrades instructors are proficient at explaining how BetterTrades works and how it can potentially change your life.

How long is it?

The Financial Freedom Expo typically lasts about two hours.

What will I learn at the Financial Freedom Expo?

In this class you'll learn some stock market basics and specifically learn how it's possible to make money whether the market is going up or going down. You will also learn about BetterTrades and how we can help you potentially learn to trade through classes and mentorship.

Do I need to know how to trade already?

No previous trading knowledge or experience is necessary. You don't need a math degree, a financial background or any special training. All you need is the willingness to learn.

What do I need to bring?

You may want to bring your own notebook and a pencil but we typically provide a notepad and pen for your use. You'll definitely want to take notes and write down questions you'd like answered.

Do I need to have a brokerage account?

No, you do not need a brokerage account to attend the Financial Freedom Expo.

Do I need to bring a laptop?

No, please do not bring a laptop. You won't need it and there will not be a work area available.

What is the free gift that I will receive at Financial Freedom Expo?

The gift changes periodically. Currently, we are offering a CD loaded with special reports designed to help you become more educated about options trading.

Market Essentials Workshop

What is the Market Essentials Workshop?

The Market Essentials Workshop is an intensive two-day class designed to provide a student with the strategies and knowledge necessary to buy and sell stocks and stock options. You can learn more about the Market Essentials Workshop by attending a Financial Freedom Expo in your area or call Customer Service at 1-800-676-4410.

I’d like to retake a Market Essentials Workshop. How do I locate one in my area?

The Market Essentials Workshop is taught in many major cities across the country on a semi-regular basis. If you’ve previously attended a Market Essentials Workshop, you are eligible for tuition-free re-attendance. (A $99 administration fee applies. This price is available ONLINE ONLY up to 7 days before the Market Essentials Workshop. After that, you must register by phone and the fee is $149.95.) To locate a Market Essentials Workshop, simply log in to MyAccounts and click on the Market Essentials link on the left to view a schedule of upcoming workshops. You can also call Customer Service at 1-800-676-4410.

What if I can’t attend a Market Essentials Workshop in my area?

If you cannot attend the currently scheduled workshops in your area, you can attend any future BetterTrades Market Essentials Workshop in any location where it is offered. The program is also available for your convenience on Home Study DVDs / CDs.

Who will be my Market Essentials instructor?

BetterTrades is proud of its roster of Market Essentials coaches. Each one has experience teaching others how to trade the stock market and is highly proficient when it comes to explaining the company's strategies and techniques.

How long does the Market Essentials event last?

Plan to spend no less than eight hours each day at the Market Essentials Workshop. A continental breakfast is served each morning, so plan to arrive 20-30 minutes early. There are ample breaks on the schedule, including roughly an hour for lunch.

What will I learn?

  • How it’s possible to make money in any market – whether it’s going up, down or sideways.
  • Specific trading strategies that have the potential to help maximize profit and manage risk.
  • How to improve your trading skills with tools, classes, and products all designed to help you potentially achieve your financial goals.

Do I need to know how to trade already?

No trading knowledge is necessary. In fact, most of the BetterTrades success stories are from people who started with our program, knowing very little about the stock market.

What do I need to bring?

A pen and calculator are suggested. You'll definitely want to take a lot of notes. A Market Essentials workbook with room for notes is provided. A jacket or sweater is also suggested, since the room will be kept cool. You can also bring along any snacks you would like to nibble on during the day. While both days will be packed with activities, you will have ample breaks and time for lunch.

Do I need to have a brokerage account?

You will not need a brokerage account to attend the Market Essentials Workshop. But if you’re still interested in opening a brokerage account and you aren't sure which online brokerage firm will be best for you, BetterTrades can help guide you by offering a compiled list of questions to ask as you interview your broker.

Are there any additional products I am required to purchase?

No. You are not required to purchase anything else. During class time, our instructors will demonstrate and offer three tools for sale: Extreme Charts, which is a charting service; Real Time Markets, which is a trading platform that includes real time streaming quotes and price alerts; and The Dedicated Trader, which provides students with daily information on the state of the market and also highlights potential trading opportunities. Although none of these additional tools are required, they are offered as a way to accelerate your trading skills.

Newsletter Subscriptions

How do I sign up for a BetterTrades newsletter?

BetterTrades provides free trading education newsletters to registered members. In addition to Monday Morning Outlook and Wednesday Morning Wakeup, we also provide occasional newsletters from the BetterTrades coaching staff. You may subscribe to these newsletters by clicking the "Publications" tab on the home page of BetterTrades.com. You'll be taken to the Trading Newsletters page, where you may subscribe to any of the free newsletters listed on that page.

How many newsletters can I sign up to receive?

You may subscribe to as many newsletters as you'd like. Remember, these are free publications and there is no obligation.

How to unsubscribe?

To unsubscribe to a newsletter, simply click on “Publications” then “Newsletters.” This will show you the list of all newsletters. Click Unsubscribe and you will be removed immediately.

How can I avoid my newsletter going to my junk mail?

The easiest way to prevent the newsletter from ending up in the junk mail or spam folder is to add the sender to your contact list or address book within your email account. If you need further help, call Customer Service at 1-800-676-4410.

How do I change my email address for a newsletter?

To change your email address, call Customer Service at 1-800-676-4410.

Why am I having problems viewing the email in my inbox?

Occasionally an email program will not allow the graphic elements (charts, photographs, etc.) to appear unless you approve them. Most programs give you the option to accept future submissions by clicking a box. If you have further problems, call Customer Service at 1-800-676-4410.

Classes

How do I navigate through the different classes offered at BetterTrades?

The classes section is divided into several sub-sections corresponding to the different types of classes offered at BetterTrades. On the menu bar you can select the type of class you are interested in attending. The choices are Free Online, Free On-location, Premium Online and Premium On-Location. Graduates of our Market Essentials workshop also have the ability to register for retakes from this page.

What are the different types of classes?

The classes menu is divided into categories for your ease and benefit. They are:

  • Upcoming Schedule: This is an upcoming schedule for the week of all free online, premium online and premium on-location classes.
  • Free Online: These are FREE promotional classes.
  • Free On-Location: This is the upcoming schedule of our Free Financial Freedom Expo.
  • Premium Online: These are paid online classes that range between two-hours and four-hours in length and are taught by one of the BetterTrades coaches.
  • Premium On-Location: These are premium one-day and two-day classes taught by BetterTrades coaches at announced locations around the country.

How can I see the schedule of upcoming online and on-location classes?

Go to the "Classes" section of BetterTrades.com. On the left side of the menu bar you will see a link for the “Upcoming Schedule,” which will give you details for all Free Online, Premium Online and Premium On-Location classes. If you are logged in, you will also see “This Week’s Classes” listed on the right side on the homepage of the website.

Online Classes

What can I watch online?

  • Free Live Classes: You can register for a free upcoming class taught live by one of the BetterTrades coaches.
  • Premium Online Classes: After attending a premium online class, the recording will be available in your "My Account" page for the next 60 days. It can be watched as often as you'd like during that time.

Do I need an account to watch FREE classes?

Yes, you must be a registered BetterTrades user to watch the free classes. Go to BetterTrades.com and register now. It’s free and it only takes a few minutes. Once registered, you'll be able to watch the free classes and take advantage of other benefits of being a registered member of BetterTrades.com.

How can I see the schedule of upcoming premium online classes?

Go to the "Classes" section of BetterTrades.com. On the left side of the menu bar you will see a link for the “Upcoming Schedule,” which will give you details for all of our premium online classes.

Can I ask the coach questions?

During a premium online class you may submit a question to a coach through the "text chat" box. The option becomes available after you have registered for the class and are in attendance.

How long are these classes?

Most premium online classes are two hours in length with several running as many as four hours.

Is the class recorded so that I can watch it again?

After you attend a premium online class, the recording is archived in your MyAccounts section of the website for a period of 60 days. Click on the My Premium Class History tab on the left to locate your recorded class. Trader Talks are also archived. These recordings can also be found in the MyAccounts section of the website by clicking on the Trader Talks link under subscriptions.

What if I can’t make it to a live class?

No sweat. For a period of 60 days you can still access a recorded copy of the material by logging on to the MyAccounts section of the website. Click on the My Premium Class History tab on the left to locate your recorded class. Trader Talks are also archived. These recordings can also be found in the MyAccounts section of the website by clicking on the Trader Talks link under subscriptions.

On-Location Classes

Where do I register?

To register for a one-day or two-day on-location class, call Customer Service at 1-800-676-4410.

How can I see the schedule of upcoming on-location classes?

Go to the "Classes" section of BetterTrades.com. On the left side of the menu bar you will see a link for the “Upcoming Schedule” which will give you details for the scheduled premium on-location classes.

Can I register the day of the class?

Yes, you can, but we highly recommend registering for these events 7 days in advance. Understand that if you do wait and register on the actual day of the event, you will have to pay by credit card and there may not be a manual for you due to the late registration.

What if I have to cancel?

If you have to cancel an on-location workshop, we will be happy to reschedule you for the next available event. Please note that these are non-refundable events.

Do I need to bring a laptop in the class?

Yes, you may bring your laptop to an on-location class. However, please remember that you are there to learn the new educational materials. Laptops can be a distraction.

My Account

How can I login to my account?

When you go to BetterTrades.com, you will be asked to sign in. Simply enter your email address or username and password. You will then be taken to the "My Account" page, where you have access to all your products and services.

Where can I see the list of my schedule (online, premium online and on-location) classes?

Go to the "My Account" page and look at the menu on the left side of the page. When you click on the "My Classes" link, you will be taken to a list of classes for which you've registered.

How many Mentor Classes are left in my account?

You'll find the number of classes you have remaining within the "My Account" section of the website. Click on Mentor Classes to review the number of classes scheduled and/or remaining in your account. Please remember that you will need to be logged in to view your personal information.

How many Mentor Classes have I used so far?

You'll find the number of classes you have taken on the Mentor page located in “My Account.” You must be logged in to review these.

How can I find who is teaching the Mentor Classes?

A list of classes and instructors can be found on the Mentor Classes page located within "MyAccount."

Can I access to The Dedicated Trader from the "My Account" section?

Yes. On the home page of your “MyAccount” page, you will find the “Dedicated Trader” link to the left under Subscriptions. Once on the “Dedicated Trader” page click "Members Entrance" to access.

How can I update my personal information?

You can update your name, address, phone number and password from the "My Account" home page. Please use the navigation located in the upper right hand side of the page or access the “Edit Personal Information” tab on the top left under the “MyAccount” tab. To change your name or and email address, you must call Customer Service at 1-800-676-4410.

Where can I find the subscription time left on my products?

Click the "Subscriptions Expiration" link in the left-hand menu under “Subscriptions.” You'll see a list of your current subscriptions and when they expire.

How can I call in for help with the technician?

You can send your questions to support@bettertrades.com or call Customer Service at 1-800-676-4410. Our Technical Support team can be reached by email at support@bettertrades.com, or you may call into them by dialing 800-676-4410, Extension 2.

Coaches

How can I register for a coach's FREE online class?

Click on the "Classes" section from top navigation on the BetterTrades.com site. Classes defaults to a listing of upcoming free online classes. Find the class you want and register to attend a LIVE free scheduled class.

How can I register for a coach's premium online class?

Go to the "Classes" section on the BetterTrades.com site. Click on the “Premium Online” link to see a list of upcoming premium classes. You can register online after you find the class you want to attend.

How can I register for a coach's on-location class?

Go the "Classes" section on the BetterTrades.com site and click on “Premium On-Location” and you will find a list of upcoming on-location classes. Call 1-800-676-4410 to register for the class.

How can I purchase a coach's DVD set?

To view DVD products, go to the Trading Tools tab and click on the DVDs link. Here you will find a list of all available DVD sets. Promo videos are also available to provide you with a more thorough review of what you will learn in these videos. You may also order DVDs by calling Customer Service at 1-800-676-4410.

How can I register for a coach's newsletter?

The BetterTrades coaches bring a wealth of knowledge that can assist traders of any skill level. You may subscribe to regular newsletters by clicking the "Publications" tab on the home page of BetterTrades.com.

How can I register for a Trader Talk subscription?

There is no better way to maintain weekly contact with your favorite BetterTrades coach than by subscribing to their Trader Talk Live sessions. You can join Markay Latimer and Ryan Litchfield for two hours, twice each week, and Bill Corcoran for two hours, four times each week, to hear their thoughts on the stock market. The quarterly subscriptions may be purchased by calling Customer Service at 1-800-676-4410.
