What are eMini's
An e-mini is a stock market index futures contract that is bought and sold just like any other index or stock. The e-mini represents an agreement to buy or sell the cash value of the underlying index at a future date.
Does this sound familiar? It should, because it works just like buying and selling a regular index or stock.
You can trade the e-minis AFTER the regular stock market is CLOSED.... trade the e-minis BEFORE the stock market is OPEN. The traders who have a regular job and want to learn about opportunities to trade during off-hours, AND The experienced traders who are looking for ways to get involved before the market opens in the morning… when those hot economic reports are released.
This allows you to work your job through the day and still trade the e-minis when the market is open!

In this class you’ll learn the possibilities that exist when you learn to trade the e-minis. There are contracts available on a range of products, including indexes, metals, commodities and forex. But when most traders talk about the e-minis, they’re referring to the e-mini S&P 500. The first e-mini was introduced in 1997 when the Chicago Mercantile Exchange launched the e-mini S&P 500. People were drawn to it because it traded at one-fifth the size of a full-sized contract. This made it more affordable to individual traders. These days the most popular e-minis are for the S&P 500, the NASDAQ 100, the Dow, the S&P MidCap 400 and the Russell 2000.
So, how does this affect you?
By learning to trade the e-minis you’ll be able to trade them in the evening, while the market is open but moving slower.
You can learn to trade the e-minis premarket, thus giving you the potential to take advantage of big moves when the economic reports are released.
You will be able to trade around the open markets in Europe and Asia while they’re still open. You’ll have access to some of the largest markets in the world with the biggest volume.
There is no day trading requirement, so you can trade as often as you’d like.
The margin requirements are low, which makes it a more affordable form of trading. You’ll be able to fit trading into your schedule, even if you still one of those pesky things called a job. The trading hours for the e-minis are from 5 p.m. to 4:15 p.m. the next day.
